Hiking Potato Chip Rock
First thing I have to mention... HOLY COW!!! This is one of the toughest hikes I have ever been on! As a regular hiker this one was a little tough for me. This entire hike is about a 6 mile round trip up a mountain. I would recommend to go early in the morning if you decide to go during the summer as it gets very hot during the day. I would also advise not to take any long hair dogs (husky,golden retriever) as it would be extremely hot for them. If you decide to bring your dog please make sure to bring a lot of extra water for them and take breaks every so often. You would be surprised how many people were walking by us on our breaks pulling the dog up the mountain and saying how they didn't have enough water for them.
Once you get to the top it is an amazing view! It looks and feels as if you're on a ledge of a cliff! (which you kinda are). Throughout the hike you hardly see anyone... until you get to the top and you see a never ending line of people waiting for a picture! We opted out because we were not about to wait in a hour long line but we still got a good picture! :)Though this is a challenging hike it is definitely a great one to enjoy with some friends!
